La sintonía entre Gobierno y las empresas Fox y Turner no deja de sembrar buenas noticas para ambos. Recordemos que desde la Casa Rosada apoyaron rotundamente para que los derechos del fútbol para los próximos cinco años fueran cedidos al tándem Fox-Turner por sobre ESPN, otra de las firmas que luchaban por quedarse con el negocio de la pelota.
El acuerdo primario del fútbol gratis en la Argentina tenía vigencia hasta el mes de agosto. Luego del actual torneo la tarifa de los partidos quedaba en manos de las empresas privadas. Pero el Gobierno le pidió a Fox-Turner postergar el fútbol pago para después de las elecciones.
Los negociadores e intermediarios de esta devolución de favores fueron el presidente de Boca Daniel Angelici y el secretario general de la Presidencia, Fernando de Andreis. Finalmente lograron conseguir una prórroga del fútbol gratis hasta el mes de noviembre. Hoy por ti mañana por mi, dice el refrán.
¿Cuánto se va a pagar? Según algunas estimaciones, se calcula que el precio mensual rondará los 15 y 20 dólares. Por ahora sigue siendo gratis, aunque con este torneo se termina el Fútbol para Todos.
Según el contrato firmado con la AFA, Fox-Turner invertirá este año 4.200 millones de pesos, número que se acrecentará temporada a temporada. La cifra más alta para las arcas de la AFA llegará entre el tercero y el cuarto de los cinco años de contrato, con opción de renovación por otro lustro.
Además, los nuevos dueños de la televisación del fútbol se harán cargo del juicio que el Grupo Clarín le había iniciado a la AFA por haber rescindido de manera intempestiva el contrato que los unía para transmitir los encuentros futbolísticos.
